Is there a fee for the event?

It is a FREE event.

What is the dress code for the event?

Comfortable, weather appropriate yoga event clothing. Some examples: half or full sleeves T shirts and yoga pants/appropriate length shorts.

How can I volunteer for the event?

Please stay tuned for details. Volunteer hours and free IDY T-Shirt will be provided to high school students who sign up. Thank you!

Where do I park at the event?

Please see the attached map that shows the whole Capitol complex.   This illustrates the location of the Visitors parking garage at 12th and San Jacinto streets, one block east of the Capitol.   The garage will be open and free the whole time during our program.

Where are restrooms located?

The Capitol Restrooms will be open until 8pm.  Restrooms are located on all floors and in the case of the ground floor and lower there are multiple public restrooms.    

What should I do if it starts raining?

Taking shelter under the trees or the Alamo monument is good in a light rain. Going inside the capitol in the event of rain is an option for folks who just want to clear rain for the short duration, but the program will be held outdoors only.

 

Summer Camp (Weeks of July 8th and July 15th)

Summer Camp Details:

Focus is on 4 major areas - 4 Ps - Principles, Postures, Prayers and Participation. The goal is to improve focus and concentration of the kids through yoga postures, proper breathing and other techniques. The focus will also be to ensure kids learn moral and ethical principles, learn to be good human beings and help the community. This camp is typically for kids ages 5-15 years.

Schedule:

·        July 8th – 12th (Mon – Fri): 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM

·        July 15th – 19th (Mon – Fri): 9:00 AM to 12.30 PM

Fees:

·        $250 per week

·        $475 for two weeks

Field Trip/Volunteering (4/20 - Sat 9.00 AM)

Yoga Bharati team is going for a volunteer activity this Sat at 9 AM. The theme is “Keep Austin Beautiful” on the occasion of Earth Day where folks around Austin are cleaning up many parks and creeks.
