Internship Guide-lines for Certification Program

 

 

 

After completion of Yoga Certification Course each student is expected to complete internship. Following are the requirements for such internship:

 

  1. Complete at least 30 hours of teaching Yoga Class within one year from completion of Certification course
  2. Notify Yoga Bharati in your area about your intention of starting the internship
  3. During the class for internship make sure that members of review committee (see note below) attend the internship class for at least 10 hours
  4. At the end of the internship class ask each of the attendee to fill a feedback form (see attached exhibit) and send it to the review committee directly.

 

In the event you cannot complete the internship within one year then:

 

You have additional two years to complete the require internship as stated above. In addition to completing the internship, however, you need to complete following:

 

Submit a paper (15 pages single spaced, 12pt font) covering on following topics:

    1. Definition of Health
    2. What is ‘Yoga’?
    3. Four main streams of Yoga
    4. Concept of ‘Pancha-kosha’
    5. Ashtanga Yoga and its eight folds
    6. Yoga and Stress Management
    7. Practice of Yoga in daily life

 

 

If you cannot complete the internship within three years then:

You need to submit your request to the review committee for completing the internship whenever you are ready. The review committee will then recommends either a repeat of full certification course or a refresher course for you before starting your internship.


Note:

 

Review Committee:

In each area Yoga Bharati will have a review committee overseeing the certification process. The committee is to have at least three members who have completed certification process and they do practice Yoga on a daily basis. It is desirable that the members of the committee conduct Yoga Class themselves.
