He felt a spiritual calling at an early age. In 1978, after several years of intensive study, he embarked on his mission of teaching. Swamiji is very well known for his lucid oratory skills, very easily understandable and makes the lectures fun-filled. A Self realized person and a person with full of love says in one of his books that meditation makes one extremely efficient and energetic. In 1984, he was initiated into sanyas ashram and in 1988 he was offered the honor of setting up a teacher training facility, Sandeepani, in Kerala. Many of his students from that era have become well-respected and accomplished swamis. Swami Bodhananda is the Spiritual Founder and Director of 11 organizations and ashrams under the umbrella of the Sambodh Foundation.
