N.V.Raghuram is the co-founder, international coordinator and Yoga trainer at Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (Research Foundation) or VYASA in short, Bangalore, INDIA. He teaches Yogasanas, Pranayama, Dhyana, cure for ailments like arthritis, asthma, stress management along with a full theoretical yogic and scientific background explained through lectures. Sri Raghuram of VYASA has trained under some of the most renowned exponents of Yoga in India and has been practicing Yoga for more than 20 years. He has also been instrumental in training Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma.

He has traveled to several countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, USA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Singapore and conducted Yoga therapeutic and corrective courses (for ailments such as bronchitis, asthma, back ache, eating disorders, sleep disorders etc). At Bangalore, he is involved in training certified Yoga instructors and also in assisting various Ph.D. students in their intensive research on Yoga and related subjects.

He has conducted several Yoga courses:

  • Yoga instructor certification programs.
  • Yoga courses for personality development in children.
  • Spiritual retreats and advanced spiritual retreats.
  • Conducted stress reduction programs called SMET in India and several countries abroad.
  • Yoga therapy research projects for various aliments at medical centers in USA, UK, and Germany. Some of them are:
    • Yoga therapy for bronchial asthma in association with Northern Colorado Allergy and Asthma center, Ft Collins, Colorado, USA.
    • Yoga therapy for Rheumatoid arthritis at Middlesboro, England.
    • Yoga therapy for chronic back pain at Bangalore, India.
    • Yoga therapy for eating disorders patients in Los Angeles, USA.
  • Published several medical research papers in medical and Yoga journals and publications.
  • Presented workshops and papers in several international conferences since 1990.
  • Yoga therapy work for neurological patients in a hospital at Griesbach, Germany where presently twenty teachers trained by him are giving Yoga therapy to patients with diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, Ataxia, Stroke, etc under his guidance.
  • Presently guiding several projects of Yoga therapy for schizophrenics and psychotic patients at several places.
